MY STORY

Who am I?

Who am I?

Growing up in the northwest of Washington State, adventure was all I knew. I became addicted to pushing myself, stepping out of the comfort zone, discovering new experiences, and living life the way I felt like it ought to be lived.

I've spent 4+ years helping startups, small businesses, and purpose-driven companies find their visual voice. Backed with agency experience and a bachelors degree in visual communication, I have learned that good design isn't about making things pretty, it's about making them mean something.

When I'm not brand brands, you'll find me on a trail somewhere, probably talking to my dog about kerning, or skiing down some fresh powder like a bezier curve with no anchor points.

Who could guessed! With a brand like this, its pretty clear I enjoy spending time out in nature when I can. Here are some of my hobbies that I love to do!

What I love about backcountry skiing is that everything feels earned. The slow climb, the cold air, the quiet mountains. Then you finally drop in and it is just you carving through untouched snow, floating through powder that no one else has touched.

Mountain biking is pure flow. You hit the trail and suddenly everything clicks. Berms, roots, little jumps, dirt kicking up behind you. It is fast, a little chaotic, and ridiculously fun when you find that perfect rhythm.

Backpacking is the kind of adventure that slows life down. Just a trail, a heavy pack, and miles ahead. I love watching the landscape change step by step, knowing that the only thing you really have to do that day is keep walking.

I also take pictures! Although I have always been a creative person in many mediums, the camera became my biggest outlet for creativity as I got into high school. I never really looked back and have continued to practice and hone my skills, creating memories for myself, my family, and even done work for brands and business. I feel blessed that my photography has allowed me to travel all over the world.

Besides branding and helping clients reach their goals, I also am in the business of connecting families to their ancestors. My brother and I started a children's book company where we take true stories of ancestors and turn them into children's books that the whole family can enjoy. This helps the kids know more fully who they are and stand taller with more confidence in themselves.
